Leftist Rolling Stone learns that CNN is a full-on propaganda shop, but only because it (grossly unfairly) rigs a Democrat debate against Bernie Sanders.
But why does this surprise them? The fix was in. For a week we’ve been seeing headlines that “Democratic insiders fear a Bernie candidacy”. And the media famously acted likewise in 2015-16. It’s one of the reasons a lot of Sanders supporters refused to back Hillary in November.
It’s an excellent article: it exposes in detail how this character assassination was carried out. You can learn a lot.
But what will Rolling Stone, and the rest of the left, learn?
Not a dadgum thing.
Why? Because this is normally aimed at Republicans. Sanders’s people will care about the unfairness to Sanders, and go right back to promising to burn down America’s cities and toss people into gulags. The rest of the Democrats won’t notice at all. And then all of them together will cheer as the Enemedia does this to their enemies for four more years.
But if you want a case study in how the media demonizes those it opposes, even on its own side, this is it.
