America is now not only the world’s top oil producer, surpassing Saudi Arabia and Russia, but is now — two to four years earlier than was expected even a few months ago — a net exporter. We no longer have to buy a drop of foreign oil.
In 2007, we “exported” $700 BILLION to our enemies for their oil. We’d been doing that or similar since 1947.
Obama and the Democrats did everything they could to stop this revolution: they’re all about subsidizing those who hate America. Obama actually campaigned on “leaving it in the ground”, possibly the single dumbest thing ever said by maybe anybody. “Peak oil” was “settled science”, in part so he could subsidize his buddies’ “green energy” boondoggles like the now-bankrupt Solyndra, with billions in your tax dollars.
But here we are, a decade later, and everything I predicted has come to pass. And despite all those new “fossil fuels”, America is the only industrialized country whose carbon emissions are dropping (and dropping a lot!), so I guess that “settled science” has turned out to be bunk too. And now Obama’s even trying to take credit for all of it.
Well, Barack, I’ve got news for you: “You didn’t build that.” Entrepreneurship, innovation and free markets did.
And we know how Democrats hate that.
