Great piece by Scripps Howard’s Clifford May (linked here to the website of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a great group) about the growing tendency of not just left-wing activists but of the major media as well (but I repeat myself) to refuse to debate anyone with whom they disagree, preferring to simply demonize them and go on. This is a disturbing trend in the public life of our nation, and definitely not a healthy one.
The particular context of this piece has to do with Iraq and the War Against Islamofascism, so whether you’re interested in the one topic or the other, it’s well worth a read.
Rod is one of our nation’s leading minds. He’s smart, original, and very committed—a combination that one rarely finds.
