Happy Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year)! The Trump/Pompeo State Department announced today that the administration is closing the PLO office in Washington because the Palestinians have steadfastly refused to negotiate any peace agreement with Israel. A provision in a U.S. law says the PLO mission must close if the peace process does not go forward, and Donald Trump is actually following the law (as he did on the Jerusalem embassy), unlike his predecessor.
Oh, and the President also just cut off a huge subsidy to the terrorist PLO, whereby the U.S. has been paying $300 million per year — for DECADES — supposedly to support Palestinian “refugees” who aren’t even really refugees, but actually to support Palestinian leaders’ lavish lifestyles and weapons purchases.
It’s about time we had a President willing to take concrete steps to make America, the Middle East, and frankly the entire world great again. And yes, this is also a huge step toward draining that portion of the Swamp known as “Foggy Bottom”.
