Now is the time for patriotic Americans to come to the aid of their country. Will you be one of them?

On November 8th Americans voted and then held their breath. Nothing less than the continuation of the United States as a constitutional republic hung in the balance. After the polls closed, there emerged a result that would confound the ideologues and reassure nervous patriotic Americans: Donald Trump was elected President of the United States.

Overcoming the obstacles left by decades of disinformation from the dominant leftist news media, false indoctrination in our schools and colleges, corrosive popular entertainment, and the hidden but almost certainly widespread election fraud perpetrated by the radical left, Americans voted decisively to stop the deconstruction of the Constitution and the rule of law.

But this will be a fleeting victory if qualified conservatives fail to step up and seek appointments in the Trump Administration. Donald Trump now needs the help of conservative Americans like you. President-elect Trump needs reinforcements from capable, principled, courageous conservatives to help him make America great again.

Service in the Executive Branch of the United States Government is an honorable undertaking. Now it is especially heroic for a principled conservative. And the salary and benefits are substantial.

More than 2 million civilians work for the Executive Branch of the United States (not including employees of the U.S. Postal Service). This is a permanent workforce, insulated by the civil service law from the ordinary forms of discipline and accountability that promote productive achievements in the private sector.

To help him manage this massive Executive Branch workforce (they are supposed to help him “take care that the laws be faithfully executed”) President-elect Trump will appoint about 4,000 civil officers and lower officials who will serve at his pleasure. You can see that the conservative principles of leadership, competence, courage, and initiative of these 4,000 appointees will be crucial to the rehabilitation of the rule of law in the United States Government.

Will you answer the call of duty and apply to serve in the Trump Administration? Will you encourage other capable, brave, conservative Americans to seek to serve in the Trump Administration?

In late 1980 and early 1981, I worked full-time in the Presidential Personnel Office of President-elect Ronald Reagan. Then I worked for three years on President Reagan’s White House Staff.

Those of us in the Reagan White House saw that where the right people are given responsibility, good things tend to happen. A principled appointee will look for ways to implement his principles. Those without principles will tend to do nothing unless they are told to do it. A too centralized organization cannot achieve as much as an intelligently de-centralized one.

Personnel is policy.

Every Presidential political appointee has some power to make things happen. Will you be one of them?

President-elect Trump will successfully restore constitutional government if conservatives with competence, experience, and courage step up and seek appointments in the Trump Administration. Do you have what it takes to serve the President-elect and your country well? Will you seek an appointment?

The stakes are high; if we are to keep our republic, now is the time to demonstrate the full power of conservative principles. Are you ready for the challenge?

What should you do now?

Review the compilation in the Plum Book of the approximately 4,000 political positions that will be filled in the Trump Administration: https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/GPO-PLUMBOOK-2012/pdf/GPO-PLUMBOOK-2012.pdf

After you have a good idea of the departments and job positions that fit your experience and qualifications, submit an online application through the official Presidential Transition portal at https://www.greatagain.gov/serve-america.html. Record any reference number that the system assigns to you.

Then fill out the Leadership Institute Presidential Personnel Referral Form – recommend yourself and other good conservatives who should step forward to help the President-elect succeed in restoring America to her founding principles. This is the starting point for LI to guide you through the appointment process. Find the form here: https://www.conservativejobs.com/PresidentialReferral/index.cfm

My staff can provide advice on your resume, cover letter, and the Executive Branch positions that your experience is best suited for. Email resumes@LeadershipInstitute.org to schedule a resume consultation (these can be by phone).

You should also visit the portal set up by our friends at the Heritage Foundation so they can help you too: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc52DDZ5hEd7SmQMOInYXAxtqu8NKKbAMye16P6T04I-uDY-w/viewform.

Now is the time for all good conservatives to come to the aid of their country.

This is a critical moment. Good men and women need to step up and serve their country. Government service is honorable and well-paid. If you are competent, courageous, and have the right experience, my Leadership Institute staff and I hope to help you now.
