A friend of mine shared this with me today. He knew the topic would interest me since I’ve been encouraging people to read the Bible from Genesis to revelation for decades. Last year as a challenge to myself and others I decided to read the Bible cover to cover five times. We had a small group of about three or 40 people who accepted the challenge and we work through it. The premise was that we could read the Bible in 90 days four times within a year and we ended the year with a consistent reading done in a week. As it turned out, God had bigger plans for us. Not only did we read it cover to cover five times, but God allowed us to read it a total of seven times by the end of the year. It absolutely brought the Bible to life in a new way that you can’t attain if you just read it a verse or chapter here or there. By the end of 2023 we had read the Bible in 90 days, 60 days, 30 days, and in 74 hours. We also read it in different translations every time which helped bring the Bible to life in new ways.
