You seem to be misunderstanding the article. It is not saying that this conviction was wrong or that the person who committed it was right. Quite the contrary.
But Matt Queen telling different stories to the FBI about one situation at one seminary for which there were no other charges is quite a lot different from "the Southern Baptist Apocalypse", as lying Russ Moore pronounced it.
Literally NO accusation Moore made turned out to be true. Zero.

That was sufficient to impeach a sitting president 30 years ago. Would you care to declare him vindicated, as well?
