But there's this old school, and I think it's a very Christian concept, by the way, that you love your family, and then you love your neighbor, and then you love your community, and then you love your fellow citizens in your own country, and then, after that, you can focus and prioritize the rest of the world.

A lot of the far left has completely inverted that. They seem to hate the citizens of their own country and care more about people outside their own borders. That is no way to run a society.

So recent remarks made by Vice President J.D. Vance regarding the classical notion of the orto amoris, or the right ordering of our loves, has stirred up a significant debate in both political and theological spheres. Now, if you don't know, the orto amoris is a philosophical and theological concept.

In this episode, Steve and I discuss Vice President J.D. Vance’s comments on the “Ordo Amoris” — the Christian doctrine of ordered loves — and how it applies not just to personal ethics but to public policy, on key issues such as immigration.

We also address the Christianity of the Founding Fathers, their careful attention to Samuel Rutherford’s Lex Rex, and the Marxist marketing scam — Wokeness — to get you to throw your heritage (and the truth) away.

Bottom line: Democrats (and the Christian Left, but I repeat myself) are twisting Christian doctrine to produce a political, agenda-driven result. Christian ethics have been radically secularized over the last century. But the Bible is clear, and Christians must learn and apply its truths. Your politics must flow from God’s truth, not the other way around.
