Here’s a great piece on how the left is trying to claim William Wilberforce for themselves.

I guess they missed the part where it was the Tories in England who abolished both slavery and the slave trade, and the Democrats in America who both seceded from the Union to fight for slavery and then imposed segregation for a century afterward to “keep those people in their place.”

Meantime, Amazing Grace remains one of the top ten movies in America, and certainly the very best. It may not be Black History Month anymore, but you should still go — if you’ve seen it, go again — and you should take some of your less conservative friends with you. This is a movie absolutely everyone should see and absolutely everyone can love. But given my first paragraph, I repeat myself.
